The Center for African Studies manages moderated e-mail lists, Descriptions are below. Users can subscribe or unsubscribe on their own. Postings are limited to things related to the Center and to African Studies.

Note: CAS lists are part of UC Berkeley's educational G-suite and thus are google-groups. One does not need a gmail email account, but does need a google account.

Events and Weekly Newsletter List

UCB Africa Events List Serve distributes in a weekly newsletter notices of upcoming Africa-related academic and cultural events at U.C. Berkeley, Stanford and other Bay Area educational institutions. On occasion non-academic events may also be announced. It is moderated by the Center for African Studies (http://africa.berkeley.edu/)

UC Berkeley Graduate Students ONLY:

There is a closed moderated group for current graduate students at the University of California, Berkeley who have research interests in Africa. It is moderated by staff at the Center for African Studies. Information that is relevant to the larger community, including Graduate Students from other institutions, will be sent out on either the African Studies Events List or the General List. Once logged into bConnected with your CalNet ID, you can navigate to the group page and request to be added to the list. You can also write asc@berkeley.edu.
