A panel of faculty, alumni and students will revisit the anti-Apartheid divestment movement, consider lessons learned, relate the movement to the Free Speech Movement as part of a wider discussion about the University of California, current social movements and social change.

Soft Vengeance: Albie Sachs and the New South Africa
A film about Albie Sachs, a lawyer, writer, art lover and freedom fighter, set against the dramatic events leading to the overthrow of the apartheid regime in South Africa. He lost an arm but not his faith in democracy and reconciliation.
