Jim Church

Jim Church is the librarian for economics and international and foreign government information at UC Berkeley. His chief areas of interest are international and nongovernmental organizations, economic development, human rights, and global poverty. He is also the manager for the library depositories for the United Nations and the European Union.

Susan Edwards

Susan Edwards is the interim librarian for African Studies, and is head of the Social Sciences Division of the Berkeley Library. She received her Master's in Library and Information Science from UC Berkeley, and has over 30 years experience as a librarian in all areas of social sciences and humanities. Susan welcomes your input on how the Library can best meet your research and teaching needs.

Mohamed Hamed

Mohamed Hamed joined the University of California, Berkeley Library in 2017 as the new Middle Eastern & Near Eastern Studies Librarian. Mohamed joins the Library from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where, for the last seven years, he has been the Middle Eastern & African Studies Librarian. He has earned a BA, MA, and PhD in Library and Information Science from Cairo University.

Claude Potts

Claude Potts is the Librarian for Romance Language Collections. In that capacity, he can guide scholars working on Lusophone and Francophone African literatures.
