G. Tucker Childs (1948-2021) received his PhD in Linguistics in 1988. His dissertation was The phonology and morphology of Kisi. Tucker helped to run the African language program in its early days while he was a student.
Research Interests: Sierra Leone, West Africa and North Africa; sociocultural theory and methods; history of anthropology; the political imagination; access to justice and transitional justice institutions; materiality; rural livelihoods.
