Big Give 2022

Much Gratitude to all who assisted us during the Big Give!

We very much appreciate all the assistance we received during the Big Give: loaning pets for pictures (we won!), post/liking/re-posting on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (#UCBAfrica and #CalBigGive), donating, etc. The Center for African Studies raised $4,345 from 26 donors during the Big Give, UC Berkeley 24-hour fundraising drive. The Big Give provides a chance to celebrate our moments with African Studies at UC Berkeley. We are grateful for the donations and other support to the Center for African Studies in our work to:

• Enable undergraduate students to carry out summer projects in Africa.
• Provide support services for African students studying at UC Berkeley.
• Support graduate students conducting fieldwork in Africa.
• Maintain African language programs on campus.
• Bring Africanist scholars to campus.
• Organize public events to share research concerning Africa.

We know that it is the collective effort that sustains us.
